2 Timothy 2:15

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” KJV

The story behind the name:

By His grace still i rise

We all have a testimony and a story to share. A story God places on our life and heart to share with others to help lead those who are lost to Christ. I was 8 years old when I was first saved, but that young salvation did not shield me from the struggles of life and trials we all must face at times. In fact, as christians we often face more trials than those lost in the world ( that’s a whole devotion in and of itself). When I was in my late 20s a lot of life hit me at one time. Through my personal life, work life, with family, It was just a lot. I had many days I felt alone and weak. During this time I leaned into my relationship with God. I can remember many mornings getting up and getting ready for work and thinking how can I do this? I don’t have the strength to do this. Then God began speaking to me and saying you can’t but I can. Through that the phrase still I rise began to be my affirmation each day. Even though I continued to face new obstacles or have new trials to face I would say to myself each morning, Still I rise. I then molded this affirmation to BY HIS GRACE STILL I RISE. I would remind myself each time I felt weak, tired, or just began to struggle that it was by God’s grace that I got up that morning and by God’s grace I continue to rise above any obstacle or trial that was put in front of me. not by my own power but by God’s grace. As I leaned into God during this time and began studying my bible more and more I felt God speak to me about writing the devotions he was giving me and sharing those with others, but I ran. I ran from the calling I felt God place on my heart. Over the last five years I have faced more battles but I continued to remind myself - BY HIS GRACE STILL I RISE! I continued to feel the calling on my heart to share the devotions God was giving to me with others. So, here we are. This site is devoted to sharing what God is giving to me with others and following the work I feel he is calling me to do for his Glory.

My Prayer:

Each day that I sit to study God’s word it is my prayer that God would grow my relationship with Him and my faith through the study of His word, and that if it is His will for me to share the devotion He gives me that day, that I would accurately pen down the devotion He is sharing with me. I also pray that I would surrender to His will and calling and that none of this work would highlight me in anyway but would bring honor and glory to His name. It is also my prayer that the devotions would touch the hearts and lives of those who read them and that others would have a strengthened relationship with Christ.

Connection

Our salvation is based on the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross for our sins. That sacrifice allows for us to have salvation and allows for us to have a personal relationship with God! Praise God! Relationships are important, with that being the most important. If you are looking to connect and build relationships with other like minded Christians find connection at the sites below. Follow along for the opportunity to share prayer requests, praise reports, and be updated about the newest devotions the day they are posted.
